The stark differences between Biden and Desantis

stark differences between Biden and Desantis
As Hurricane Dorian approached the Florida coast, two very different leaders emerged. On one side, you had Joe Biden, who pre-staged in Alabama with heavy equipment, meals, water, medicine, and staffed ambulances. On the other side, you had Ron DeSantis, who was more concerned with shipping immigrants around the country and gotcha moments in the press. Let's take a closer look at these two leaders and see what they did to prepare for this hurricane. Biden Pre-staged in Alabama, Heavy Equipment, Meals, Water, Medicine, Aubulances staffed with personal, and more. He has called DeSantis holding no grudges and offered help as he did with every Mayor whose towns were affected. Do you think Trump would have done the same for a democrat if they were in the situation republican DeSantis is in? Thom Hartmann said earlier today that "DeSantis wants 60 days where the federal government pays all costs for the rebuild, of course then he will give the credit to himself and not mention Biden." If Desantis past actions tell us anything Hartmann is correct.
It's clear that there are stark differences between these two leaders. Biden has demonstrated time and time again that he is a leader who is willing to work with others for the common good. DeSantis, on the other hand, seems more concerned with scoring political points. Floridians deserve better than that. They deserve a leader who is going to put their needs first, and that leader is Joe Biden. So fear not Florida help is on the way!

The Risks of Electing Fascistic Leaders by Mark Rose

The Risks of Electing Fascistic Leaders In the wake of Italy's recent election of Giorgia Meloni, a fascistic leader, I can't help but worry that the world has forgotten the events of the 1920s and 1930s that led to the second World War. And here we are now, a century later, with America doing the same thing: supporting fascism just like some Americans did in the past, like Henry Ford and Charles Lindbergh. Trump and Desantis are wrong now, and I want to prevent any more wars from happening by speaking out against these authoritarian leaders before it is too late, we all should be speaking out.
The Rise of Fascism in Europe Fascism is on the rise in America, and we need to be careful not to let history repeat itself. Trump's rallies have been compared to Nazi rallies in NYC in the 1930s, and MAGA supports Putin just like Americans supported Hitler back then. We cannot let this happen again. Fascism first rose to prominence in Europe in the early 1920s. At the time, many Europeans were struggling economically, and they were looking for a strong leader who could turn things around. Fascism offered them just that, in the form of charismatic leaders like Benito Mussolini in Italy and Adolf Hitler in Germany. These leaders promised to bring about change and make their countries great again—sound familiar? What followed was a period of autocratic rule characterized by violence and repression. opposition parties were dissolved, the media was controlled, and minorities were persecuted. Jews, in particular, were targeted for extermination in what is now known as the Holocaust. In total, 6 million Jews were killed during World War II, along with millions of others who opposed the fascist regimes. The rise of fascism is a real threat to our democracy, and we need to stand up to these politicians who are supporting it. I urge you to vote for politicians who believe in freedom and democracy, not fascism. Once democracy is gone, it's gone for good folks!
Fascism in America? Now fast forward to present day America. We are once again facing economic hardship and political turmoil, and many Americans are clamoring for a strong leader who will restore order. Enter Donald Trump. Throughout his campaign and his presidency, Trump has exhibited many fascist tendencies. He has repressed the media, persecuted minorities, incited violence at his rallies, and expressed admiration for dictators like Vladimir Putin. He has even gone so far as to use Nazi imagery at his rallies. All of this is very alarming, especially when you consider that history has a tendency to repeat itself. I don't want to see another world war fought over these same ideologies—do you? In conclusion, I would urge everyone to exercise caution when electing leaders with fascistic tendencies. We've seen what can happen when this type of rhetoric is allowed to take hold, and it's not something we should allow to happen again. Instead, let's come together and find a middle ground that will allow us to preserve our freedom without descending into violence or authoritarianism. And thank you for reading my blog post. I hope it has convinced you of the danger of fascism and encouraged you to vote for politicians who believe in democracy. Together, we can prevent another world war from happening. Thank you for your time! #intolerantlefty #intolerantlefty.com

The Power of Psychedelics in Mental Health Treatment

For years, mental health sufferers have been searching for new and innovative ways to treat their disorders. From traditional therapy to more unconventional methods like Meditation and Reiki, people have tried everything in an effort to find relief. But what if there was a treatment that had the power to completely change lives? That's where psychedelics come in. Psychedelics are drugs that have the ability to alter a person's perceptions, thoughts, and feelings. While some psychedelics are illegal, there are a few that are beginning to be used in therapeutic settings. Ketamine, for example, is an FDA-approved medication that is often used as an anesthetic. However, recent studies have shown that ketamine can also be an effective treatment for depression and anxiety.
How Psychedelics Work? Psychedelics work by changing the way the brain communicates with itself. Normally, the different areas of the brain are quite separate from one another. However, when someone takes a psychedelic drug, those barriers start to break down. This allows for new connections to be formed and new ideas to be explored. Psychedelics have been used in therapeutic settings for years, but they are only now beginning to gain mainstream acceptance. Part of the reason for this is because of the negative stigma that has been attached to these drugs. For years, psychedelics have been associated with illegal activity and bad trips. However, as more and more research is conducted on their therapeutic potential, that stigma is beginning to fade away.
The Power of Psychedelics Psychedelics have the power to change lives. By breaking down the barriers between different areas of the brain, they allow for new ways of thinking and feeling. And while there is still much we don't know about these drugs, the potential benefits far outweigh the risks. So if you or someone you know is struggling with a mental health disorder, don't be afraid to ask your doctor about psychedelic therapy. It just might be the key to a happier and healthier life. #intolerantlefty #intolerantlefty.com

Are Putin's Days Numbered?

I believe that Putin's days are numbered. I think that even the Russians themselves have realized that he is losing his grip on reality, threatening nuclear war and saying he isn't bluffing puts the Russian people in just as much danger as us, maybe more. I have noticed that Russia cannot feed their troops or keep up with munitions production. I also have to wonder if their nuclear weapons even work anymore. It is obvious that the Russian Military is in shambles, and men are fleeing Russia to dodge the draft. When I went to Moscow a few years ago, I had a lot of hope for Russia and the world because I truly thought the cold war was over. But now it seems like all of that money funneled into Putin's bank accounts. I think we are going to see a coup to overthrow Putin. He has already fled Moscow! Putin's authoritarianism is no match for the power of democracy. Putin's days are numbered.
- Democracy will triumph over Putin's authoritarianism - Putin has lost touch with reality and is a danger to Russia - The Russian military is in shambles and men are fleeing the country - All of the money funneled into Putin's bank accounts could have gone to better use - There is a chance we will see a coup to overthrow Putin in the near future. - Democracy is the answer to Putin's days being numbered. I hope Putin resigns. I really do. But I doubt it will happen. He's a strongman leader, and they tend to hang on to power for dear life. I suspect there will be a quo by the military, though. The Russian military is falling apart from a lack of investment, and with tens of thousands of people fleeing the country to avoid the draft, I bet the generals are discussing their futures right now. The Ukrainians have been handing the Russian military their asses, too. The Russians don't want to fight Ukrainians - most of them probably have relatives in Ukraine. So I think the writing is on the wall for Putin. We'll see what happens, but I'm not optimistic for a peaceful solution there in Russia. Because I believe the Russian people are tired of being ripped off. The wealth of that country has gone into the pockets of the few. The Russian people have had a taste of democracy, I believe they want more. Russians just want to be respected but they have to see they have lost all respect from other countries since they invaded Ukraine. If the United States is smart, they will continue to support Ukraine, but not get involved with any plans to quicken Putin's exit because it will backfire. Let the Russian people take out their own garbage. I just don't understand the Russian People putting up with Putin. It's like they've collectively decided to desert their own common sense up until now. Putin is a big problem, but he's not the only one. There are plenty of people in Russia who want to work together instead of constantly screwing with each other. The United States is not innocent, over the years we have pulled just as many awful things trying to disrupt Russia as they have to us. Until recently, they scored big getting Trump elected. And when he lost in 2020, that is why I believe Putin invaded Ukraine. I believe the plans were already in place and the plan was to get Trump re-elected so Putin could stroll into the Ukrainian territories without much resistance. Because Trump would have never helped the Ukrainians, he was making that very obvious. Putin is a cancer, and he needs to be removed from power. But it's not going to be easy. The quo will be defended by those who benefit from it. And those who benefit from it are usually the ones with the most power: the military, the oligarchs, and the security services. They're not going to give up their power easily. It's going to take a lot of hard work by the russian people to overthrow Putin and his cronies. But it's worth it. Because if they don't, Putin will keep on messing with us and interfering in our affairs, which not only effects us, but the whole world negativly. And that's not something we can tolerate any longer. Mark Rose

The Powers That Be: Why the Federal Reserve Exists and What It Does

Most people have heard of the Federal Reserve, but few know what it actually does. The Federal Reserve is the central banking system of the United States and is responsible for creating monetary policy. This policy has a big impact on inflation, interest rates, and employment. In other words, the Federal Reserve has a lot of power over the American economy The Origins of the Federal Reserve The Federal Reserve was created in 1913 in response to a series of financial panics. These panics were caused by an over-expansion of credit, which led to a shortage of cash and a decrease in lending. In order to prevent future panics, Congress passed the Federal Reserve Act, which established the Federal Reserve System. The Structure of the Federal Reserve The Federal Reserve is made up of three parts: -the Board of Governors, -the 12 Federal Reserve Banks, and -the Federal Open Market Committee. The Board of Governors is responsible for making economic policy decisions while the 12 Federal Reserve Banks supervise commercial banks and implement monetary policy. The Federal Open Market Committee sets monetary policy through open market operations, or by buying and selling securities. What Does the Fed Do? The most important thing that the Fed does is manage monetary policy. Monetary policy is used to influence inflation, interest rates, and employment. The Fed accomplishes this by buying or selling securities in order to increase or decrease the money supply. By controlling the money supply, the Fed can also control inflation and interest The Fed plays a big role in our economy and our lives! By controlling inflation, interest rates, and employment, the Fed can help keep our economy stable. So next time you hear about the Fed in the news, remember that it is an important part of our government and our economy!
I am not sure if most Americans know who Jerome Powell is, but he is the Chair of the Federal Reserve appointed by Donald Trump. And according to a recent Gallup poll, only 37% of Americans trust him to do what is best for the economy. Considering that the Federal Reserve is in charge of our economy, this isn't good news. Especially since many families are still struggling after the worldwide COVID pandemic that has hurt the worlds economy. I hope that Mr. Powell proves us wrong and starts to regain the trust of Wallstreet. I have to ask, is Jerome Powell the right man for the job as Federal Reserve Chair? That's up for debate, but what's not up for debate is whether or not we can trust him. Powell has a history of supporting policies that drive inflation, and with the current situation with the economy it appears he is doing it again. With the constant rate hikes one after another it appears that he is trying to ruin things on purpose. We need to be vigilant in watching his every move to make sure he doesn't cause serious damage until Biden is able to get his pick to chair the Fed in place.

The Pioneers of Psychedelics: How They Changed the World

The Pioneers of Psychedelics: How They Changed the World Psychedelics have been used for centuries by indigenous cultures for healing and spiritual purposes. In the mid-20th century, Western scientists began to research the therapeutic potential of these substances, and what they found was astonishing. LSD, psilocybin, and other psychedelics were shown to be highly effective in treating a wide variety of mental health conditions, including addiction, depression, and anxiety. Despite this promising research, the use of psychedelics was banned in the 1960s due to their perceived dangers. However, a small group of brave individuals continued to manufacture and distribute these substances illicitly, risking imprisonment in order to help others heal. Here's the story of how these pioneers changed the world.
The First Wave of Psychedelic Prohibition In 1966, President Richard Nixon signed the Controlled Substances Act into law, which classified LSD as a Schedule I drug (substances with "no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse"). This classification made manufacturing, distributing, or possessing LSD a federal crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Nixon's war on drugs was based on misinformation and fearmongering, and it resulted in the criminalization of an entire generation of young people. Despite the risks, a small group of dedicated individuals continued to produce and distribute LSD throughout the 1970s and 1980s. One of the most well-known manufacturers was Nicholas Sand, who ran a operation out of his home in Marin County, California. Sand was inspired to start manufacturing LSD after reading about Aldous Huxley's experience with the substance; he believed that LSD had the potential to change the world for the better and he was determined to make it available to as many people as possible. Thanks to his efforts, as well as those of other underground manufacturers, LSD remained widely available throughout this period despite being illegal. The Grateful Dead and Other Musicians Promote Psychedelic Use In addition to manufacturers, there was another group of people who played a critical role in keeping psychedelics alive during this period: musicians. The Grateful Dead were perhaps the most well-known psychedelic advocates; frontman Jerry Garcia once said that LSD "free[d] me from my mind," and the band regularly passed out free acid at their concerts during the peak of their popularity. Garcia wasn't alone; many other musicians spoke openly about their use of psychedelics and their positive experiences with them. As a result of this openness, many young people were introduced to these substances for the first time and realized that they could be used for more than just recreational purposes.
Psychedelic Researchers Work diligently to Prove Their Worth While all this was going on above ground, scientists were working diligently to prove the therapeutic potential of psychedelics in controlled clinical settings. One of those scientists was Stanislav Grof, who conducted groundbreaking research on LSD-assisted psychotherapy in Czechoslovakia before moving to America in 1967. Grof's work showed that LSD could be used effectively to treat conditions like alcohol addiction, depression, and anxiety; he also pioneered new methods for using LSD in psychotherapy sessions that are still used by researchers today.
The pioneer psychedelic manufacturers, distributors, researchers, and musicians who risked imprisonment in order to bring these substances into the world did so because they believed in their healing power. Thanks to their efforts—and despite decades of government opposition—psychedelics are now enjoying a renaissance in both scientific research and popular culture. With the renaissance of psychedelics comes a renewed interest in their potential healing power. Psilocybin mushrooms have already been shown to help people with anxiety, depression, addiction, and PTSD; other psychedelics like LSD and MDMA hold similar promise. But these substances are still illegal in most countries, including the United States. These substances have already been proved safe and have helped millions of people heal from mental illness, and we are on the cusp of another breakthrough with legalizing MDMA when it comes to treating PTSD thanks to organazations like M.A.P.S. Now is the time to invest in this renaissance and help these substances achieve their full potential by supporting organazations like the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies and others here in the United States and around the World. We can start by voting for the psilocybin initiative in Colorado and pushing for more research into these powerful compounds, also write the FDA in favor of legalizing MDMA. With your help, we can end prohibition and bring psychedelics out of the shadows where they belong. Thank you for helping us bring psychedelics into the light and thank you for being part of this movement!

The Evidence of a Trump-Russia Connection Is Only Getting Stronger Everyday!

The Evidence of a Trump-Russia Connection Is Only Getting Stronger Everyday!
For years now, there has been speculation about Donald Trump's ties to Russia and Vladimir Putin. While the evidence has been largely circumstantial, it keeps piling up daily—and it's getting harder and harder to ignore. Here's a look at some of the most damning evidence that Trump is in bed with the Russians. 1. Trump has relied on money from nefarious sources before. As Sammy the Bull Gravano testified, the mafia often used Trump as a way to laundered their money—or as a silent investor in Trump projects. Given Trump's history, it's not that big of a leap to believe he would be involved with the Russians. 2. Trump's team was caught trying to collude with the Russians during the election. In June 2016, Donald Trump Jr. met with a Kremlin-connected lawyer after being promised damaging information on Hillary Clinton as part of a Russian government effort to help his father win the election. 3. There are suspicious ties between Trump campaign staffers and Russia. Paul Manafort, Trump's former campaign chairman, is known for his work on behalf of pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine. Michael Flynn, Trump's former national security adviser, was paid $45,000 by RT—a Russian state-owned television station—to speak at a gala in 2015. 4. The Russian government reportedly has compromising information on Trump. According to a dossier compiled by a former British intelligence agent, Russia has compromising personal and financial information on Trump that could be used to blackmail him. 5. Trump has spoken favorably about Putin in the past. In 2007, Trump praised Putin for "what he’s done for Russia." And during the 2016 campaign, he said it would be "nice" if the U.S. and Russia got along better—despite reports of Russian aggression towards its neighbors. 6. Putin reportedly had a "preference" forTrump over Clinton. According to U .S . officials who spoke to The Washington Post, Putin had a "clear preference" for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election—and took specific actions to help him win., 7. Since taking office, Trump has been soft on Russia despite their continued aggression and remains so today., For example, he seemed unconcerned when Russia annexed Crimea in 2014—an act that resulted in widespread condemnation from Western leaders., When Russia recently invaded Ukraine Trump called Putin "smart" and "savvy" because Putin had declared portions of Ukraine "independent," something Putin had no right to do. 8. Finally, Mueller's investigation did turn up evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.—then with Roger Stone's indictment for lying to Congress about his contact with WikiLeaks during the 2016 election and lets not forget Lieutenant General Flynn, a former Army intelligence officer who served, briefly, as President Donald Trump’s first national security adviser, who in December 2015, he attended a gala dinner in Moscow for RT, the Kremlin-run media organization. He was paid $45,000 for his appearance and was seated at a table with President Vladimir Putin. Obama had appointed him as directer of the Defense Intelligence Agency but two years later, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper showed him the door. That wasn’t his first trip to Russia: As director of the DIA, he had met two years earlier with Russian intelligence officers in Moscow, ignoring the advice of the CIA’s station chief. When he tried to invite a Russian group to Washington in 2014, not long after Russia’s first invasion of Ukraine, Mr. Clapper reportedly had to warn him off. despite all of that and much more Donald Trump was sworn in as president and Michael Flynn became his national security adviser.
Two FBI agents met with Mr. Flynn to ask him about his phone calls in late December with Sergey Kislyak, Russia’s ambassador to the U.S. At that time, the Obama administration had expelled 35 Russian diplomats and imposed sanctions on Russia for interfering in the 2016 election – including hacking and releasing emails from Mrs. Clinton and the Democratic National Committee. Russia had unexpectedly taken no retaliatory measures. The agents wanted to know if Mr. Flynn, as the incoming national security adviser, had asked the ambassador not to escalate. He told them no, they hadn’t discussed the sanctions. Asked if there had been a follow-up call with Ambassador Kislyak, he said he didn’t recall one. Pressed to clarify, he stuck to his account. Both claims were false – as the FBI, which had transcripts of the calls, knew. It set off a storm that led to Mr. Flynn’s resignation less than a month into his tenure, after President Trump concluded he had lied not only to the FBI but also to Vice President Mike Pence, who had publicly repeated the denials. Mr. Flynn eventually struck a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller, who was investigating Russian links to the Trump campaign. The deal would mean no prison time and would end a separate prosecution for illegal lobbying for Turkey. In December 2017, he told a federal court in Washington that he took full responsibility. “I recognize that the actions I acknowledged in court today were wrong, and, through my faith in God, I am working to set things right,” he said in a statement, calling his guilty plea “in the best interests of my family and of our country.” ., With close ties to people like Michael Flynn & Paul Manafort it's getting harder and harder to deny that there is something fishy going on between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin's regime in Russia.—especially when you consider all of the circumstantial evidence that keeps piling up., Politicians, voters, media pundits: we can no longer afford to turn a blind eye to this issue., , It is time for investigations into Donald Trump's ties to Russia to be taken seriously—before it's too late., , , , ,

The Polarizing 2020 Midterm Elections: 49 Days Left Until the Nation's Future is Decided by Mark Rose

What's really happening is that the republican platform is so far out of touch with the majority of Americans, that even their own party members are starting to abandon ship. Trump's picks may have won the primaries, but they are definitely are not going to win the general election. The writing is on the wall, and it's time for people to start paying attention. If we don't act now, we're going to be stuck with republicans in the house or senate or possibly both who just do not represent our values or our interests. So get out there and vote! Make your voice heard! We can't afford to stay silent any longer.
Only 67% of republicans support trump anymore or his policies, and that number is only going to continue to drop as we get closer and closer to the election. Trump backed candidates may have won the primaries, but they are not going to win the general election. The writing is on the wall, and it's time for people to start paying attention. If we don't act now, we're going to be stuck with republicans in the house or senate or possibly both who just do not represent our values or our interests. So get out there and vote! Make your voice heard! We can't afford to stay silent any longer.
There are only 49 days left until the midterm elections of 2020, and the divide between democrats and republicans is only getting wider. Early voting has already started in some states, so if you haven't already, make sure you register to vote! Every vote counts, and we need as many people as possible to show up and make their voices heard. This election is too important to stay home on election day. So get out there and exercise your right to vote! Let's make sure that we elect candidates who represent our values and will fight for our interests. We can't afford to stay silent any longer. What SCOTUS has done to Women's abortion rights cannot stand, and if they win it will only get worse, they will kill any committee looking into crimes trump committed, so we will never know the real truth. We need everyone who cares about democracy and human rights to show up and make their voice heard on election day. Let's make sure that we elect candidates who represent our values and will fight for our interests. We can't afford to stay silent any longer. The time for action is now, my friends. Democrats currently hold a slim majority in the house, but with gerrymandering and voter suppression, republicans are doing everything they can to try to take back control. We can't let that happen. So that means we need to show up in big numbers on election day and make sure that we keep control of the house. This is too important to stay home on election day. So get out there and exercise your right to vote! Let's make sure that we elect candidates who represent our values and will fight for our interests. We can't afford to stay silent any longer. The future of our country is at stake, my friends. It's time to take action, my friends. We cannot afford to stay silent any longer. The future of our country is at stake, and we need everyone who cares about democracy and human rights to show up and make their voice heard on election day.
Because it has never been more important to vote than it is this year. The future of our country is at stake, and we need everyone who cares about democracy and human rights to show up and make their voice heard on election day. Let's make sure that we elect candidates who represent our values and will fight for our interests. We can't afford to stay silent any longer. The time for action is now, my friends. As I said only 49 days left until the midterm elections of 2020, and we need to use every single one of them wisely. Get out there and register to vote if you haven't already. Make a plan to vote on election day, November third. And most importantly, spread the word! Talk to your friends and family, especially those who may be on the fence about voting or who usually don't vote in midterm elections. We need to make sure that everyone understands just how important this election is. We can't afford to stay silent any longer. The future of our country is at stake, and we need everyone's help to make sure that we elect candidates who represent our values and will fight for our interests. Let's make sure that this is the most progressive midterm election in history!

Heidi Ganahl is a Terrible Idea for Colorado! by Mark Rose

Heidi Ganahl is a Terrible Idea for Colorado!

Heidi Ganahl, the Republican candidate for Governor, is a terrible choice for voters in the state. She has openly voiced her support for President Trump and his policies, which are dangerous and harmful to Coloradans. Ganahl is also opposed to psychedelic research, which could provide valuable treatments for mental health conditions. Her record shows that she does not have the best interests of Colorado residents at heart, and she should not be elected to congress.

Heidi Ganahl is a Terrible Idea because she supports Trump's delusion that the election was fraudulent somehow. She is against the initiative to legalize psilocybin too. And really has no policies it seems, other then trying to help Trump & republicans cover up what really happened that led to jan. 6 2021 anyway she can. Polis has done a lot for the state since taking office his accomplishments are numerous. Before COVID we had one of the best economies' in the country and Polis led us masterfully through the pandemic. Ganahl would start whittling away at the progress governor Polis has made. Coloradoan's do not want to go backwards, we believe in women's & everyone's rights, we believe in progress and Polis is leading us down that road, we must re-elect Polis! Ganahl only has support from trumpsters and people who want to see our state go backwards not forwards. Support Democrats and their platform, not another Republican with no ideas! Now let's look at Polis.

1.  First openly gay male governor in the United States

Jared Polis made history in 2018 when he became the first openly gay man to be elected as a governor in the United States. This accomplishment is significant as it breaks down barriers for LGBTQ+ people across the country and sends a strong message that everyone is welcome in Colorado.

2.  Signed executive order creating Office of Outdoor Recreation

In 2019, Governor Polis signed an executive order creating the Office of Outdoor Recreation in Colorado. This office will work to support the state’s $28 billion outdoor recreation industry and promote access to outdoor spaces for all Coloradans.

3.  Passed paid family and medical leave program

In 2019, Governor Polis signed into law a paid family and medical leave program that will provide up to 12 weeks of paid leave for Colorado workers. This is the first such program in the Rocky Mountain West and will benefit approximately 2 million Colorado workers.

4.  Investing in renewable energy

Governor Polis has been a strong supporter of investing in renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power. In 2019, he signed a bill that requires utilities to generate 100% of their electricity from renewable sources by 2040. This is one of the most ambitious renewable energy goals in the country and will help Colorado lead the way in the fight against climate change

5. Signed a bill into law that made Colorado the first state to legalize recreational marijuana

6Signed an executive order establishing Colorado as a sanctuary state for immigrants

7.  Vetoed a bill that would have required schools to teach abstinence-only sex education

8.  Appointed the first Latina to the Colorado Supreme Court

9.  He increased funding for public schools by $1 billion, Successfully worked with the legislature to pass a $1.6 billion dollar investment in public schools, the largest investment in Colorado schools in over a decade

10.  He signed a bill into law that made Colorado the first state in the nation to adopt paid family and medical leave

11.  He expanded access to early childhood education

12.  He worked to make college more affordable for Colorado students

13.  He enacted gun reform measures in the wake of the mass shooting at a school in Highlands Ranch

14.  He signed an executive order that created a task force to address the state's housing crisis

15.  Led the effort to pass legislation that provides free full-day kindergarten for all Colorado children

16. Created a new program that will provide free community college tuition for all Colorado residents

And that is just a sample of what Governor Polis has done, are we really going to trust a republican to do anything close? I don't think so! Now let's look at Heidi Ganahl's record.

1. She started a business

Heidi Ganahl is the founder and CEO of Camp Bow Wow, a national pet care company with over 150 locations. Prior to starting Camp Bow Wow, Ms. Ganahl was an executive at several startups in the pet industry, including Petsmart and Petco.

2. She ran for office

In 2010, Ms. Ganahl ran for the office of Colorado State Treasurer. She lost the election to Democrat Walker Stapleton.

3. She was appointed to a commission

In 2012, Ms. Ganahl was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.

4. She gave money to a political campaign

In 2016, Ms. Ganahl donated $2,700 to the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.

5.In 2010, she was appointed to the Colorado State University Board of Governors by then-Governor Bill Ritter.

6. Ganahl is a member of the CU Boulder Foundation Board of Trustees and the Leeds School of Business Advisory Board.

7. She has also served on the boards of directors for several other organizations, including the Better Business Bureau of Denver/Boulder and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.

8. In 2017, Ganahl ran for a seat on the University of Colorado Board of Regents, but was defeated in the primary election.

9. She's been on reality TV, Heidi Ganahl has appeared on the reality TV show The Apprentice, as well as the spin-off show Celebrity Apprentice.

10. She's active in politics, she switched parties

Heidi Ganahl is now a member of the Republican Party and has served on the Colorado State Board of Education since 2015. Heidi Ganahl is a terrible idea for Colorado’s governor. She has switched parties and it’s obvious she did it to gain power, because she thought Trump was unstoppable, she switched parties solely to gain power or maybe she was starstruck. Her policy seems to be parroting Donald Trump without any intelligence or understanding of the issues. She’s an election denier and we can’t let her take us backwards. On the other hand, Jared Polis has done so much for Colorado and we must continue that progressive vision. I provided a list of their accomplishments and why would anyone want to change course at this point? I believe this will turn out as one of the two most important elections of our lifetimes in 2022 & 2024. We cannot let the republicans continue to take this country backwards, stripping women of their rights and who's next? They will not stop at abortion - if they win, welcome to a “White Bread Government” that may never get voted out, because many people won't be able to vote. THINK! Please don’t forget to vote in November- it may be one of the most important elections of our lifetimes. And please help out at your local Democratic office if you can- they need all the help they can get! I know of 11 million that was donated to fight against us by just one Oilman on Sunday, Imagine all the money coming in to defeat the Democrats in Colorado, stay vigilant! Share this post with your friends and family, so they can make an informed decision on who to vote for too. Let’s keep Colorado moving forward!

Governor Polis is the Best Thing for Colorado by Mark Rose

Governor Polis is the Best Thing for Colorado

I had the chance to see governor Polis today, and I was told that a weld county oil man donated 11 million dollars to defeat polis. I think this just shows the desperation of Big Oil and other industries whose fortunes will be changing. These industries still deny climate change, but we cannot afford to take Colorado backwards. The republicans have nothing to offer Colorado or the Nation other then division, a step backwards to a time before all the progress that has been made in my lifetime of over 60 years. We cannot let the republican party's recent taste for authoritarianism and disregard for democracy destroy this country. I have seen a lot but I have never seen this country so divided as it is today.

The President and his Republican Party are trying to take us back to a time where facts didn't matter, where science was ignored, and where investigating your political opponents was more important than governing. They are lashing out because they know their time is limited. The clock is ticking on their illegitimate grip on power, and they are willing to do anything to hang onto it. They are trying to gaslight the American people into thinking that up is down, black is white, and 2+2=5. But we're not going to let them get away with it.

That's why it's so important that we fight back against their attempts to undermine our democracy. We need to vote them out of office, expose their lies, and hold them accountable for their actions. And we need to do it now. We cannot afford to wait until it's too late. Our country—and our world—depend on it.

The next election is critical. We cannot afford four more years of Republican rule. We need to vote them out and return power to the people. Only then can we begin to repair the damage that has been done and start moving forward again. Thank you for your time and please remember to vote!

The Desantis & Abbott Political Pawn Scandal by Mark Rose

In what can only be seen as a political stunt gone wrong, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Texas Governor Greg Abbott have been caught red-handed using human beings as political pawns in their quest to own the Libs. The two governors flew a group of refugees to Martha's Vineyard, using taxpayer money to do so, thinking that the people would be disgusted. But instead, the people took the refugees in with open arms.
Now, it seems that DeSantis may have broken some laws in the process, specifically kidnapping laws. This whole fiasco is sure to backfire come November, when there will be a blue wave of voters who are fed up with this type of politics. And it'll only get worse in 2024, when even more young people see through the game and vote for change. It's time for the Republican party to get rid of their Mega ideology or they'll wind up in the dustpan of history along with other failed parties. Former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman is already organizing a third party for those who are leaving the Republicans.
The details of the scandal are still emerging, but here's what we know so far. On Monday, August 24th, 2020, Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott held a press conference at the Tallahassee International Airport announcing that they would be flying a group of refugees to Martha's Vineyard. The stated purpose of this was to help relieve overcrowding at migrant facilities along the southern border.

However, many suspect that the real reason behind this was to score political points with their base. After all, what could be more owning of the Libs than flying a group of refugees to one of the most exclusive vacation spots in the country? Not to mention that they used taxpayer money to do so.

When asked about the cost of the flight, DeSantis responded by saying "I don't know, we'll figure it out." Well, it turns out that the cost was $185,000 and was paid for by Florida taxpayers. Some have even accused DeSantis of kidnapping, as he did not consult with any local officials before flying the refugees into town.

But it seems that DeSantis and Abbott didn't anticipate just how compassionate Americans could be. Instead of being disgusted by the sight of refugees, people welcomed them with open arms. Volunteers helped them get settled into their temporary housing and started raising money to help them get back on their feet. Local businesses donated food and supplies. It was a beautiful display of humanity at its best.

This whole debacle is sure to backfire come November, when there will be a blue wave of voters who are fed up with this type of politics. And it'll only get worse in 2024, when even more young people see through the game and vote for change. Republicans need to wake up and smell the coffee before it's too late. Their Mega ideology is not sustainable in today's political climate. former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman is already organizing a third party for those who are leaving the Republicans. If they don't make some major changes soon, they'll wind up in the dustpan of history along with other failed parties.

The Decline of American Journalism and What it Means for Our Democracy by Mark Rose

 The

Decline of American Journalism and What it Means for Our Democracy

In recent years, there has been a lot of handwringing about the state of the American press. Critics argue that corporate consolidation has led to a homogenization of the news, that "fake news" is on the rise, and that journalists are under assault like never before. While it's certainly true that the media landscape has changed dramatically in recent years, it's important to remember that a free and independent press is essential to any functioning democracy. It's no secret that a handful of corporations own most of our press. In the 1970s, there were hundreds of independent radio stations. Today, not so many. We used to have the fairness doctrine, requiring that every opinion aired be balanced with an opposite opinion. The news used to be news, not entertainment. But what happened? In this blog post, we'll look at some of the challenges facing American journalism and what can be done to protect this vital institution.

The Answer is Two-Fold

The answer is two-fold. First, deregulation. In the 1980s, the Reagan administration began deregulating the media industry, paving the way for corporate consolidation. This allowed a few giant companies to buy up hundreds of smaller ones, resulting in the current situation where just a handful of corporations control the majority of our media outlets. Second, and more insidiously, is something called the "financialization" of the media.

In short, this is the transformation of media organizations from being primarily concerned with producing quality journalism to being primarily concerned with making money for their shareholders. This has led to major cutbacks in newsrooms across the country, as well as a race to the bottom in terms of both quality and accuracy. As a result, we are left with a situation where a small number of companies control most of our information sources, and where profit is prioritized over serving the public interest.

The Spread of Misinformation

Another problem facing the American press is the spread of misinformation. Thanks to social media, it's now easier than ever for false or misleading information to go viral. Once something gets shared enough times, it starts to take on a life of its own, even if it's not actually true. This can be incredibly damaging, especially when coupled with people's confirmation bias (the tendency to seek out information that confirms one's preexisting beliefs). One of the most common complaints leveled against the press is that "fake news" is on the rise. While it's true that there has been an increase in intentionally misleading or fabricated news stories in recent years, much of this can be attributed to the fact that anyone with a computer and an internet connection can now publish whatever they want, without having to go through any kind of editorial process. This phenomenon is sometimes referred to as "the democratization of information." While this increased access to information is generally seen as a good thing, which I myself am taking advantage of, but it does have its downside.

The Decline of Local Journalism

In addition to all of this, there has been a decline in local journalism in recent years. As advertising revenues have declined, many local newspapers have been forced to cut back on their coverage or close their doors entirely. This is problematic because local journalists are often the only ones holding elected officials accountable and shining a light on what's really going on in our communities. When local newspapers disappear, we all suffer.

It's clear that American journalism is facing some significant challenges in the 21st century. However, it's also clear that a free and independent press is more important than ever before. In order to protect this vital institution, we need to support journalists and demand accountability from our elected officials. Only then can we hope to ensure that our democracy remains strong.

This is not a healthy situation for democracy. When just a few companies control what we see and hear, it leads to a situation where those companies can easily manipulate public opinion for their own benefit. This is why it's so important that we have a free and independent press. Unfortunately, thanks to deregulation and corporate greed, that is no longer the case.

It’s time to take our democracy back. We need to get active, write our elected officials, and demand change. The press is failing us miserably and it’s up to citizens like you and me to make sure we have a fair and unbiased fourth estate. Our country depends on it. Have you written your elected officials about the state of the press? The state of the press in our country is concerning. We need to take action and demand that our elected officials do something about it. Please make sure your voice is heard. Democracy depends on a free and fair press- without it, we are headed down a dark path. It’s time to break up the big cable companies, make information free, and get citizens more involved in the press. We need to bring back the fairness doctrine and elect officials who will fight for our right to have access to truthful information. The health of our democracy depends on it!

America is in trouble and we need to act now by Mark Rose

America is in trouble and we need to act now

It's no secret that America is in a bit of trouble right now. We're facing down a recession, our infrastructure is crumbling, and inequality is at an all-time high. But there's hope! With the right leadership, we can turn things around. That's why I'm calling on President Biden to appoint Larry Summers as the next Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

Who is Powell and Why is He in Charge of the Fed?

Jerome Powell is the current Chairman of the Federal Reserve. He was appointed to this position by President Donald Trump in 2018. Why Biden reinstated him is beyond me! Prior to his appointment, Powell was a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He has also served as an advisor to several private equity firms. In other words, he's a career banker. And like most bankers, Powell is more concerned with making money for himself and his friends on Wall Street than he is with helping ordinary Americans.

Powell's policies as Chairman of the Fed have been disastrous for American workers. He has raised interest rates several times, despite strong evidence that doing so would hurt our economy. These rate hikes have made it more difficult for businesses to expand and hire new workers. They've also made it harder for families to afford things like mortgages and car loans. All of this has contributed to the current recession we find ourselves in.

Who's Next?

Larry Summers is one of the most qualified people in the world to lead the Fed. He's a Nobel Prize-winning economist, he served as Secretary of the Treasury under President Clinton, and he was a key advisor to President Obama during the financial crisis. He knows how to navigate a downturn, and he's not afraid to make tough decisions. That's exactly what we need right now.

Under Chairman Summers, the Fed would pursue an aggressive policy of quantitative easing in order to jumpstart the economy. In addition, he would support raising taxes on corporations and the wealthy in order to fund much-needed programs like infrastructure investment and universal healthcare. And finally, he would push for CEO compensation reforms to help reduce inequality.

My Dream Solution to America's Economic Woes

My solution if I could snap my fingers and change things todays would be this: raise wages for all employees, corporations taxed back to a 55% again. For too long, CEOs and other corporate execs have been raking in obscene amounts of money while their workers have seen their wages stagnate or even decline. It's time for a change.

By raising wages across the board, we would increase spending power for American consumers. This would give our economy a much-needed boost and help us avoid future recessions. And by taxing corporations at a higher rate, we would bring in much-needed revenue that could be used to fund things like infrastructure projects and social programs. American families deserve nothing less. This may not happen in my lifetime but I hope it does for my family's sake.

Are these bold policies, sure but they're exactly what America needs right now. We can't afford to wait any longer - we need to act now if we want to avoid a full-blown recession. So let's get behind Joe Biden and give him the chance to lead us out of this mess.

President Biden has a crucial decision to make, and I hope he makes the right one. I think we need someone like Larry Summers at the helm of the Fed if we're going to get America back on track. So let's show our support - write your congressman, tweet your support using #LarryForFedChairman, and most importantly, vote! Only together can we create the America we know is possible.

How Ketamine Therapy is Changing My Life for the better! by Mark Rose

When I was first prescribed ketamine therapy for my PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain, I was skeptical. I had tried so many different medications and treatments, and none of them had worked. But I was desperate, so I decided to give it a try. And I'm so glad that I did.

The Ketamine therapy that I am in is a series of six sessions, unless you want a booster which is recommended once a month. Cannabis has a dulling effect on ketamine, so I stop using it 48 hours before I get injected. And I'm glad that I do, because that ketamine experience was one of the most profound experiences of my life. As Phil Lesh said on 60 minutes in 1967 "The more people that turn on the better world it will be,” I cannot agree more!

During the sessions, I feel like I am floating on a cloud. All my worries and fears melt away, I feel at peace. When the sessions are over, I always feel like a new person. My angry outbursts are almost all gone, my anxiety has been considerably lessened, and chronic pain isn't ruling my life like it was anymore.

I am so impressed with ketamine therapy that I started recommending it to all of my friends who were dealing with similar issues. And many of them have had the same life-changing experiences' that I did. If you're struggling with PTSD, anxiety, or chronic pain, I urge you to give ketamine therapy a try. It just might change your life too. Statistics show that ketamine is an effective treatment for depression. Ketamine helps to create new pathways in the brain, and it has been shown to be effective in treating chronic pain, anxiety, and depression. Ketamine is covered by insurance and Colorado Medicaid, and it is an FDA-approved medication. Ketamine has been shown to be safe and effective in clinical trials, and it is a well-tolerated medication. Ketamine is a promising treatment for those with mental health disorders, and it is an important tool in the fight against depression.

Ketamine has been used in hospitals as an anesthetic for many years, however, its use as treatment for depression is relatively new. ketamine was first trialed as a treatment for depression in 2006 and the results have been extremely promising. In a study of ketamine's effects on patients with major depressive disorders, it was found that 70% of patients who received ketamine injections had significant improvements in their symptoms within 24 hours. In comparison, only 30% of patients who received placebo injections showed any improvements. These statistics are stunning and suggest that ketamine could be a game-changer in the treatment of depression. ketamine seems to work by increasing levels of a neurotransmitter called glutamate, which is involved in learning and memory. This increases brain activity and creativity, two things that are often lacking in people with depression. For me personally, ketamine has been a godsend. Not only has it helped to improve my mood, but it has also helped to improve my memory and focus, it even improved my understanding of music. I feel more creative and productive than I ever have before, and I am so grateful to have ketamine as part of my life.

Ketamine therapy changed my life in ways that I never thought possible. If you're struggling with PTSD, Bipolar, Anxiety, or Chronic Pain, Ketamine Therapy just might be able to help you too.
